Mother Bear Project - Barb Knittybarb who is one of the hosts of the audio podcast 2 knit Lit Chicks. Barb will be collecting Mother Bears at Sitches West (Feb 23-27) and then shipping them to MN. The drop-off point will be Booth #941 - Ellen's Wooly Wonders. There is a limit of 5 bears per person, and anyone dropping off bears needs to have the $3 per bear with the bears.

The Proverbial Knitter is teaming up with theotheramylee of the awesome Canon Hand Dyes yarn for a special limited edition skein of her Jane base (my favorite - MCN!). ENABLING FROM THE SOCK SUMMIT:

Fiber Optic Hand Dyed fibers & yarn - This is where I got the beautiful roving in the purple and the pumpkin colors.

Indigodragonfly - What a great booth! This is where I got my "when turkeys fly" skein of yarn.

Miss Babs - I got the Halloween skein of yarn there.

Huckleberry Knits - I got my beautiful skein that was green with the 2% silver in it.

The Swanx - These girls were just wonderful! Lisa & Kira really did a great job and their painting of the clogs are awesome too!

Day 2 of TdF and I am exhausted!

OMG! I thought it would be SO much fun to spin 4oz's of fiber again today. Well it was until I had to ply for the first time. My husband put my lazykate on my ladybug wheel and off I went. It was really a workout! I am sitting here now just typing about my spinning today and I am wiped out. I will put my plied yarn on the niddy-noddy tomorrow and see how many yards I get. I hope enough yarn so I can knit with my first plied handspun. I also put my single ply that I spun yesterday on the niddy-noddy this morning. I had 180yards! I then soaked my yarn and it is hanging to dry now. Well all in all I feel like I have really started a TdF this weekend. I hope I continue to enjoy doing this. I think tomorrow will be just a little bit of spinning and some knitting.

Tour de Fleece started Today and I have my FIRST full Bobbin!!

I was a little intimidated today when I knew I had to spin for what I committed too for the "Tour de Fleece". I committed to spinning 30 minutes for the Rookie Team and for The Knit Girllls team. I actually drafted and did my spinning in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I was not too good at first but I must say I was thrilled with how the last 2oz's spun up! So I am hoping to ply it tonight and see what happens. All in all I am SO glad I committed to this.

Well, it is time to switch to "Blogger" Apple in the near future is going to do away with MobileMe. Which HELLO! is my main blogging tool up to this date. I also have an audio podcast that runs through iTunes USING MY iWEB. iCloud REALLY FOR FREE. I was happy with paying once a year and knowing how to do everything. All good things must come to an end, and change is inevitable. So here it goes, I am blogging on my new blog page, first post, and hoping my video podcast that I recorded earlier works out. By the way, William is awesome when he focuses and helps me! Thanks, William for helping mom out today!
